Herk & Associates is a personnel recruiting company for equipment dealerships and is based in Phoenix, AZ. The company specializes in recruiting personnel for earthmoving/construction, agriculture and material handling equipment dealerships.

 

The positions we are looking to fill are territory sales opportunities with large construction equipment dealerships. Products sold will include dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, dump trucks, motor graders and other construction equipment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources. Travel through assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders and visit with customers on sales floor or by phone. Recommend specific standard or modified machine best suited for customer's use. Provide as much profit on each sale as reasonably possible. Test-operate machinery at customer work site. Sell machine maintenance and repair services, repair parts, and extended warranties. Assist with the financing arrangements for the customers. Evaluate used trade-in and provide complete, accurate information to person assigning book value. Follow up on each sale. Promote all departments of business. Quote prices and credit terms, prepare sales contracts or sales bid for orders obtained. Use database to research availability of equipment. Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules. Pickup and deliver equipment as needed. Prepare reports for business transactions and keep expense accounts. Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database. Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts. Investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries. Control expenses to increase profitability. Attend training classes and store meetings. Assist to ensure that there is no form of discrimination anywhere in the sales department regarding sex, race, age, or religion. Work harmoniously with all co-workers. Attend trade shows. Perform any other special duties as requested by the general manager, sales manager, and or other department personnel to ensure customer satisfaction.
