MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for development, negotiation, and/or administration of government and commercial contractual documents that establish business relationships with customers. Work with sales and service teams as well as the legal department to coordinate proposal preparation including strategy development, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal and financial requirements, and company requirements. Review and approve all contractual documents to ensure adherence to company policy, satisfaction of requirements, proper authorization for pricing and protection of the company's contractual posture. Examine estimates/analysis of contract terms and conditions to ensure accuracy and completeness. RFP preparation. Provide contract support to various company business units. Draft and negotiate sales agreements. Provide strategy and contract counseling, training and education; design, develop and implement contract process improvements and procedures.
SKILLS:
Five years of relevant experience in drafting, negotiating and administering government and commercial contracts in a sales environment. Ability to exercise sound, professional judgment in selecting methods and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Excellent written and spoken communication skills. Experience with process development. Big picture understanding of overall process flow of customer relationship. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to balance priorities, complete projects in a timely manner, and consistently manage workload. Ability to work effectively under high stress, time critical deadlines. Ability to work independently with general direction.
