Corporate Sales Representative

We are currently seeking a Corporate Sales Representative for an outside sales territory covering the San Francisco, CA area.

 

The Corporate Sales Rep sells West Group products to the corporate legal community within an assigned territory. The Sales Rep calls on the customer, identifies the customer's needs, and uses a consultative selling approach to close the sale in such a way that builds value for the customer and facilitates opportunities for future sales. This is accomplished through an in-depth understanding of West Group products, sales techniques and the needs of the corporate legal sector.

Responsibilities:
Attains sales targets and quotas on a monthly basis Demonstrates the use of the product to the customer Obtains and provides territory information regarding market intelligence and penetration Confers with and assists in customer-related issues, including collections and complaints, as needed, to maintain good customer relations Completes weekly sales performance reports Attends sales meetings and conventions as required

 

Requirements-
Minimum 10 years of professional business experience including a minimum of 5 years direct field sales experience (corporate sector preferred) 4 year college degree minimum [law degree preferred] Demonstrated, quantifiable abilities re: professional sales concepts, methods, tactics and techniques Demonstrated success selling professional services Demonstrated understanding of business Positive attitude Demonstrated ability to work effectively within Team(s), including being managed Self-motivated, ambitious High energy Excellent written and verbal communication skills Effective time management skills Complete, unencumbered ability to work from home office within entire territory Demonstrated proficiency and currency in using MS Office, Internet, other business standard s/ware [use of additional technology, including PDAs, messaging, etc. preferred] Highly preferred: working knowledge of West Group products, legal profession, corporate legal sector, and/or legal publishing industry Highly preferred: demonstration of knowledge within at least one substantive vertical [e.g., financial services, Insurance, Media, Pharmaceuticals, etc.]
