Customer Sales Representative HS

Schwan's Home Service, Inc. ("Schwan's"), is the largest direct-to-home frozen food delivery company in the world and distributes more than 300 frozen food products under the Schwan's? and Impromptu Gourmet? brands, including pizza, choice meats, seafood, desserts and of course, the company's signature ice cream.

Position Description:



GENERAL PURPOSEThis position is responsible for learning the customer sales representative position which includes the operation of a commercial motor vehicle.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSells and distributes frozen food and other company products to customer's homes or places of business. Follows the sales practice guidelines established by the company, including but not limited to Consultative Selling and carry-to-the-door programs.Seeks out and markets to new customers for the route system (in the assigned areas). Makes sales presentations to prospective customers. Informs customers of new products, promotional products and any special services.Addresses service complaints and works to resolve them. Communicates complaints and a resolution to the manager in a timely manner.Responsible for daily safety inspections and safe operation of the commercial motor vehicle, as required by federal DOT regulations and company policies.Files daily computer reports and completes all paperwork and hand-held preparation for the next day according to procedures laid out by management. Accounts for and turns in all sales receipts regardless of form of payment collected each working day at the designated depository.This position will have responsibilities that involve selling products to customers. The products are transported in a commercial vehicle from a central facility to up to one hundred locations along an established sales territory.



QUALIFICATIONSEducation:?High school or equivalentYears of Related Experience:?1 or more years related experience.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:?The ability to effectively and safely operate a commercial vehicle. The ability to effectively operate a hand held computer. The ability to learn and successfully communicate product information. The ability to accurately manage the company's sales receipts on a daily basis. The ability to successfully communicate with existing and potential customers. The ability to successfully sell products.Must meet the Federal Department of Transportation eligibility requirements, including appropriate driver's license and corresponding medical certification as a condition of employment for this position.EOE
