Job Overview:

ATMI is seeking a Director of Sales & Marketing, reporting directly to the Division Vice President & General Manager, located in Tempe, Arizona. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the leadership and development of a North American and European sales organization that is focused on new business opportunities, consultative selling and further developing our strategic account program. The person chosen for this role will have tremendous visibility within the company as well as manage all resources in the following functions: Direct Sales/Account Management for North America/Europe, Global Strategic Account Program, Global Marketing and Marcomm as well as Customer Relationship Management/Sales Support. This opportunity has direct impact to the bottom line, with the freedom to make choices and the expectation to take "smart" risks. You will participate on a dynamic team in a high-tech, growing organization where individual success is recognized and rewarded.

Primary Responsibilities:

? Achieve aggressive annual revenue targets while providing a long-term, sustainable, value-based relationship with ATMI's strategic accounts;
? Lead a sales organization, with a ?customer first? and ?innovation leadership? mindset, by hiring and developing key talent focused on creating long term customer relationships;
? Establish an effective organizational structure through resource planning, recruitment, and active involvement in career development;
? Develop, implement and improve a global strategic account program and support the infrastructure utilizing information technology and process development;
? Deploy CRM tools and technologies to optimize opportunity management and customer communication;
? Lead the global marketing, marketing communications and trade show/promotional activities;
? Maintain strong relationships with internal departments by communicating customer situations and overall market conditions;
? Develop, maintain and control budgets for area of responsibility;
? Represent ATMI at industry conferences and corporate planning meetings;

Education/Experience:

? BA or BS from an accredited college or university;
? MBA or business degree a strong plus in order to make the complex business decisions required for the organization;
? Minimum of 10 years in a sales or marketing management role;
? Experience managing a P&L highly desired;
? Strong communication and influencing skills with all levels of the organization;
? Thorough market knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and services sector;
? Expertise in fostering a work environment characterized by "possibility thinking," motivation, accountability, open communication and effective teamwork;
? Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and establish roadmaps for continuous improvement of sales and service systems;
? Confidence to challenge the "status quo" and lead change in the organization;
? Ability to meet challenging timelines and work in a constantly changing environment;
? Availability to travel 30%-40%, both domestically and internationally;
