Data Center Manager to $75k+ -

Job Description:
Oversees and ensures optimum functionality and uptime for all data center server and network infrastructure, as well as LAN/WAN infrastructure at the Corporate Headquarters and all external data centers or co-location facilities . Ensures that all Company standards with regard to system configuration, operation, security, and access are maintained and documented at all times.
1. Enforce, maintain, and document compliance will all established standards for server, database, and LAN/WAN infrastructure elements.
2. Maintain and document maximum uptime and performance for all data center systems, including database, LAN/WAN, and server systems.
3. Supervise the daily work of all database, network, and server administration staff to ensure optimum performance.
4. Maintain system patch levels to ensure that all critical patches are tested and applied as needed.
5. Maintain and enforce access lists for the data center, telecom closets, and other areas containing critical infrastructure elements.
6. Work with the Security Manager to create and maintain Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans and ensure that these plans are tested at least annually (or more often as required by statute or standard).
7. Continually focus efforts on automation of data center services and operations.
8. Maintain project and work authorization documentation as required.
9. Improve customer service by ensuring completion and accuracy on service and support tickets and escalations within the data center team.

Systems: HP servers and blades, HP SAN (XP1024, EVA), HP tape library, Cisco switches/routers, HVAC systems, UPS battery back-up
Preferred Certifications: MCSE, MCDBA, Oracle DBA, HP-UNIX certified, CISSP
Excellent written and oral skills, ability to multitask successfully. Ability to document procedures and write policies. This position requires a combination of hand-on technical skills and superior managerial skills. In this environment there are 180 servers, 16 UNIX & 26 Terrabytes on a SAN!
