Dir. Business Dev. - Medical Diagnostics

Job Description: The Director of Business Development for our Medical Manufacturing division will have responsibility for developing new strategic alliances with key customer targets. 

This person will utilize their knowledge and experience with medical product design, manufacturing, logistics, and regulatory requirements to create new business with select target accounts. 
This individual will develop and drive external and internal senior and executive-level relationships, analyze and understand customers' business strategies, future product plans, expansion activities and align Flextronics' resources where mutually beneficial. 
This individual will also assist current accounts in the development and execution of product roadmaps and act as the focal point in delivering Flextronics' solutions which include concept development, industrial design, manufacturing, supply chain / logistics, service support and reverse logistics. 
This individual will manage each account  for maximum operating profit and revenue growth, as well as develop and communicate metrics for all levels of internal and external management. 
This individual must be hands-on and have the ability to build and sustain business relationships, close deals and drive high levels of customer satisfaction. 
This individual will represent Flextronics and provide market exposure for Flextronics at industry events, conferences and trade shows. 
Travel is 40-50% within defined sales territory.


Job Requirements:


Successful candidate will possess a minimum of 10-15 years successful sales and account management experience, minimum of 5 (recent) years selling Medical Devices or into Medical Device OEMs.
Must have a solid understanding of medical products and regulatory requirements with the ability to demonstrate solutions provided by Flextronics. 
A mix of strong sales, program management, design, manufacturing expertise and knowledge of supply chain management is required. 
Your effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills will facilitate teamwork and effect satisfaction with internal and external customers.
You must be a customer-driven self-starter and team player with strong leadership abilities, energized in an ever-changing fast-paced business environment with superb project, analytical and problem-solving skills.
You will have experience in medical product design and manufactuirng sales with a proven track record of advancement and successful selling.
Your ability to manage well in a matrix-reporting environment is a plus. Proficiency in MS-Office applications is also required. 
A BS degree is required (engineering or manufacturing is preferred;) an MBA is highly desirable.
