Director, Commercial Sales
Description: Meet or exceed areas budgeted and/or sales forecasts each quarter for Westchester, Connecticut & New York. Maximize the overall sales ?yield? performance of the Commercial Direct Sales team through effective leadership and motivational skills. Clearly communicate all Company and Sales Department policies, procedures, business rules and strategies to the Commercial Direct Sales team. Ensure that these policies & procedures are accurately implemented and consistently enforced for all Commercial Direct Sales Evaluate, monitor and track individual and overall sales performance of Commercial Direct Sales Representatives to ensure budgeted goals are met, working in conjunction with the local Commercial Direct Sales Managers. Evaluate all Commercial Direct Sales programs on an ongoing basis and make recommendations to improve efficiency and maximize performance, working in conjunction with local Commercial Direct Sales management team. Conduct ongoing area meetings with the local Commercial Direct Sales Managers and the Commercial Direct Sales staff to communicate the mission, vision, values and goals of the sales organization and to maximize information flow, continuity, productivity and efficiency.
Demonstrate and enhance the sales process through side-by-side coaching of direct reports and the Commercial Direct Sales staff to maximize sales productivity and ensure superior customer satisfaction. Maximize the quantity and quality of the Commercial Direct Sales staff through creative and ongoing recruiting and employee retention efforts. Compile daily/weekly/monthly/annual local area Commercial Direct Sales performance reports for review by staff and Commercial Direct Sales management, working in conjunction with the local Commercial Direct Sales Managers.
Develop annual budget projections, annual commercial sales plans, interim forecasts and long-range plans relative to subscriber acquisition and revenue enhancement for all consumer products, working in conjunction with the local Commercial Direct Sales management team, Sales Analysts and VP, Commercial Direct Sales. Monitor, make recommendations, and implement potential revisions of sales rep commission & incentive programs on an ongoing basis, working in conjunction with the local Commercial Direct Sales Managers.
Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree in business with communications emphasis A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a Sales Manager role required. Proven success in managing a direct sales organization required. Prior experience in Direct cable or related telecommunication sales management a plus. Proven success in building a sales team from the bottom up.
