Director - Consultant Relations

CITY: Stamford STATE: Connecticut COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
This position represents GE Asset Management in the Consultants industry.

The responsibilities of the job holder are:-
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with outside consultants, in support of Institutional Defined Benefit/Defined Contribution sales and marketing.
* Establish close working relationships with Consultant principals via visits or events on and off site.
* Keep Consultants apprised of significant developments, maintain awareness of organizational changes and emphasize the importance of their support.
* Establish effective relationships with those Consultants to facilitate access to clients and prospects, success measured through new business generation
* Coordinate with our product business people to keep Consultants' research specialists current.
* Ensure databases are timely and accurate with inputs.

Qualifications/Requirements:
* Bachelors Degree or High School diploma/GED and a minimum of 7 years experience in finance or related field.
* At least 5 years experience in investment management, with a strong knowledge of institutional investments.
* Client Relationship Management, Consultant or Consultant Relations experience required (at least 2 years)
* Product knowledge in DB/DC and pension services.
* Excellent analytical skills.
* Ability to Travel 50-60% (minimum of 2-3 days per week) without limitation.
* You must be willing to submit to a drug test
* You must be willing to submit to a background check including for example your previous employment, criminal history and education background.
* You must have full legal authorization to work in the United States

Desired:
Experience in Defined Benefits, Defined Contributions, Pension Sales, Consultant Relations, Mutual Funds.
CFA designation/Candidacy preferred.
This position is commission eligible.
