Director of Business Development - Cisco Channels

Minimum QualificationsRequires that the candidate has established business relationships with major Cisco regional and national VARsStrong business experience. Able to assemble and negotiate business contracts and resale agreements without supervisionDemonstrable track record of sales successStrong technical background, preferably in VoIP and SIP Your history of working with Cisco product managers will be consideredExcellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills 

 

Education: This position requires a BS/BA. MBA is preferred

 

The preferred candidate will have extensive experience in nationally selling an enterprise voice software solution through Cisco and the Cisco VAR channels as well as experience in guiding a product through Cisco certification. The ideal candidate would be a senior business development executive with strong selling skills that has existing relations with the Cisco VoIP product management at headquarters in Santa Clara and with the Cisco sales channels and Cisco VAR channels nationally.

 

This position reports to a VP and can be located in Chicago at the company headquarters or in Silicon Valley.

 

Job Responsibilities:

The Business Development Director will:

? Communicate the value and business proposition of the RedSky product line to the Cisco Direct sales force and to regional and national Cisco VARs

? be responsible for negotiating and signing business contracts with Cisco VARs in the commercial and federal markets for the resale of RedSky products.

? identify and sign business contracts with large Cisco systems integrators like EDS, SAIC, CDC for the resale of RedSky products

? promote business relationships with the Cisco direct channel nationally including participating in their regional and national sales events

? work with RedSky sales to develop business in each geographical territory

? interface with Cisco Call Manager and Call Manager express product managers to identify opportunities for integration and new products

? work with RedSky product management to create a comprehensive product plan that aligns with the Cisco Call Manager development plan

? be the point person in all product certifications with Cisco products

? Get RedSky deeply involved in the Cisco Developer Program and Developer events
