Director of Sales & Marketing

 

JOB TITLE:   Director of Sales & Marketing

REPORTS TO:    General Manager

DIRECT REPORTS: Sales Team

Maglio & Company is a service-driven produce company that markets its produce in two very distinct ways.  One market delivers produce directly from the field to the customer; the other customizes produce per individual client specifications prior to shipping.  We value the quality of our produce, but more importantly the service we use to deliver that quality.

 

Education

A minimum of Bachelor?s Degree with a business emphasis.

 

Required Experience

Minimum 5-7 years of sales and marketing experience selling a product (non-service).

Produce/Grocer industry, or other perishable product sales experience a plus.

Solid understanding of target marketing and branding strategies

Management of sales team and external marketing resources

 

Primary Responsibilities & Expectations

? Management of all sales personnel and all marketing efforts that lead to achievement of annual budget

? Development and execution of the Sales & Marketing Plan

? Monitor and maintain market research, competitor and customer information

? Maintain target market database

? Define and measure the tangible value Maglio & Company delivers to its customers

? Create selling tools that illustrate the tangible value of our products and service

? Identify and develop all sales & marketing processes, tools and presentations to improve the effectiveness of the team and organization

? Build brand recognition by developing, implementing and managing a consistent brand strategy

? Update and maintain company website

? Contributing member of the executive management team

? Manage the external marketing resources

? Proactively provide recommendations to General Manager on how to improve Maglio & Company service, products and profitability.
