District Account Executive

Canon U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a District Account Executive located in the Southern California or Phoenix, AZ area, for our ISG Division (copiers, multi-function products, software, and 3rd party applications). The DAE will promote the business relationship between Canon and it's authorized dealer. The DAE will be solely responsible for the direct or indirect coordination of activities and resources to promote dealer growth and sell through of Canon's products and services.

The DAE will be responsible to acclimate the dealer's sales and support staff with Canon's products and services; provide current information and resources on Canon products to dealer's sales and support staff, including training and product support; develop local strategies to promote dealer growth and increased sell through to end-users; understand and support the dealer's business dynamic; foster and promote long-term growth of the channel; research, investigate and report on competitive product and technology trends; develop innovative action strategies to address local and national competitive issues with the Channel Sales Manager; provide local product marketing support by providing the Dealer with collateral support, promotional training, launch material and general training to insure the dealer is prepared to professionally service the end-user; provide support at local events, trade shows and key customer presentations; schedule and or provide support and resources for the dealer; resolve all issues for the dealer; assess issues with the dealer and determine the level of support required; implement and administer Canon programs gaining mind share and 'buy in' to the company's programs; and demonstrate fiscal responsibility adhering to financial budgets and targets set forth by management.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of related experience in office equipment/computer/printer/software sales within a dealer or manufacturer's environment. A good working knowledge of network/computer/digital technology is mandatory. Industry certifications are a plus. CDIA certification is preferred. This position requires 50% overnight travel.
