District Sales Manager - Pacific Northwest

We are presently looking for a motivated individual to join the Avocent Sales Team as a District Sales Manager in the Pacific Northwest. This individual will perform duties to sell and promote Avocent branded products in the assigned district, achieve desired sales levels with corporate entities, and develop strategic alliances.Support sales opportunities generated from marketing activities and reseller partners, and develop sales opportunities independently through leads, cold calls, market research, and networking.Participate in Avocent attended trade shows and conferences to promote the company and its products.Coordinate assigned district's sales activities with responsible Corporate staff to maximize sales revenue and customer satisfaction.Coordinate activities of other Avocent resource organizations to assist in closing sales. ***And other duties as assigned or needed.***

Experience and Skills:
At least 3 years of proven success in high tech product sales (server, data center, computer networks) is required of you in order to be considered for this opportunity.A 4-year College degree is preferred, but extensive successful high tech product sales experience will be considered.Ability and willingness to travel extensively is necessary.Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills and abilities are essential.
