District Technical Manager, Sales Consulting

The position of Sales Consulting Manager is to manage a district Sales Consulting organization. In this position, the Sales Consulting Manager will provide leadership and technical sales support within the district, create operational efficiency of the organization, and provide management and personal growth and development of each SC to achieve Technical Excellence.

Responsibilities:

Generating and executing an overall district technical sales strategy to reach sales goals and position the team for continuing future growth.

Coordinating and maximizing the activities of Sales Consultants in support of district sales and revenue goals.

Hiring, selection, coaching and development of Sales Consultants.

Manage and mentor Sales Consultants, creating a sense of teamwork and optimizing team performance.

Focusing efforts and maximizing the success of district as well as finding ways to improve processes going forward.

Use internal systems to facilitate work flow (develop those systems if necessary)

Territory management assistance and customer development, along with strategic sales campaign execution.

Sales forecasting and strategic planning.

Effectively handle field issues and priority resolution of those issues.

Qualifications:

MS/BS degree or equivalent preferred

3+ years of experience in the management of a presales organization of 5 or more people, with the ability to manage in a player-coach role

Must have experiencing supporting Public Sector Federal Civilian and/or Department of Defense sales territories

Strong organizational skills and time management skills

Proven leadership skills in the ability to recruit, mentor, coach and develop employees

Proven strong project and time management skills

Experience in account management and execution of sales campaigns

Strong understanding of internal systems and procedures

Experience in performance review, performance management and in helping employees set goals is preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proven sales and marketing capabilities, with the ability to work well with other internal organizations (ie: inside sales, Strategic Alliances, Channels, Marketing, etc.)



Advanced knowledge of enterprise software technology, with Business Objects products and insight into product futures highly desired.

Demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking skills
