Educational Textbook Publishing Sales Representative

Our client is one of the largest and most respected educational publishing companies in America. They have asked us to locate a sales representative to sell a full line of Computer Science, Information Technology and Adult Learning/Continuing Education textbooks to owners, directors and instructors at private career and professional education institutes in the Orange County to Anaheim, Pasadena, Arcadia and San Bernardino, California area. This is an existing territory with many established accounts with which the company already has a strong client relationship.

The ideal candidate will have a 4 year degree and 2 or more years of successful professional sales experience (Business-to-Business sales is ideal), an interest in selling to the academic community, and the ability to develop and maintain long lasting relationships with key decision makers.

The successful candidate can expect to earn $50-70K++ the first year, based on a starting salary of $40-50K (depending on experience) plus an annual bonus that generally adds at least $10-20K per year, but could be as high as $40K or more based on personal performance. In addition, you will receive a company car, all travel expenses, an excellent benefit package, and outstanding opportunities for advancement into sales management or marketing in one of the finest companies in the country.
