Job Title:    PARTS SALES POSITION

 

Department:  Parts

 

Basic Function:

Responsible for efficient handling and control of parts business through proper inventory, record keeping, delivery and reporting as well as other duties as specified by the parts manager.

 

 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

 

1.  First responsibility requires extensive telephone use.  You will be taking calls from the customers.  It is imperative that you have a clear telephone voice, are polite and courteous to your customers and refrain from vulgar language and jokes.  We want to convey a high level of professionalism to our customers.

 

2.  Responsible for looking up parts for customers.  Including using parts books, bill of materials, or any other means to find the technical data to satisfy the customer.

 

3.  Responsible for back up of processing parts returns. Process entails the following: Crediting the customer?s account, making sure all parts go back to the proper place on the shelf, making sure all parts that are special order are sent back to our supplier for credit.  Final step would be to confirm that the credit is received from the vendor.

 

4.  Responsible for supporting the shipping area in time of need.

 

5.  Responsible for supporting the service parts area in time of need.

 

6.  Responsible for helping to maintain inventory.  This will include suggesting any parts that are out of stock, or parts that need to be stocked, billing out the proper part numbers, and helping out during our annual inventory.  Annual inventory is a physical, hand count. 

 

7.  Responsible for helping train other parts employees in areas that they are unfamiliar.

 

8.  Responsible for helping in the rotation for the after hours cell phone for the emergency parts calls.  If the call necessitates it, may need to come to the office after hours to pull and ship the parts. 

 

9.  Responsible for being in the rotation for the safety committee.

11. Responsible for creating the highest level of customer service possible.

 

12. All orders must be completely processed by end of business day, the same day as the order is taken from the customer. 

 

Qualifications:

1.  Must be computer literate

2.  Must have strong phone skills, able to take up to 100 calls/day

3.  Must be customer service orientated

4.  Must be able to multi-task

5.  Should be familiar with transportation ? Domestic & International

6.  Should be proficient with all makes of CEC equipment

7.  Must be dependable and able to follow instructions

8.  Must pass drug test

 

 

Office Hours 8:30 A.M. To 5:00 P.M. with one (1/2) hour lunch and (2) fifteen minute breaks.  Over time must be pre-approved by Parts Dept Manager, Adam Echols.  This company reserves the right to assign hours of work based on workload requirements.
