Industrial Sales Position

 

Title: Outside Sales

 

Reports to: Corporate Sales Manager

 

Job Purpose:

 

To cultivate the Western Oklahoma territory and maintain current customer base as well as prospecting for new customers for future business.

 

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:

 Set schedules to achieve complete territory coverage.Maintain sales in accordance with budget numbers set for the branch. Budget numbers will be given to you by the Sales Manager.Provide a two week itinerary to achieve coverage of customers and prospects in territoryMaintain a schedule based on itinerary and customer requestsVisit Local Plan RoomObtain job specificationsWork with inside staff providing details for jobs that are in the bid process, including bidders.Work with inside staff to assist in customer relations and product supportProvide documentation of quotation (s) status with comments/notes, reports due each week for review in sales meetings.Maintain and develop a customer base and prospect listMarket developmentEngineers Electrical ContractorsGeneral ContractorsCounty and City Bidders lists

i.  Develop a list of the top 20% of above market.

ii.  Maintain list by addition or subtraction of companies as they meet the criteria.  Development of an ?A? list and ?B? list will enable you to accurately track your customer?s progress.  Each list should be based on the purchasing volume and or influence in your market.Follow up with customers i.e. voices mails, emails and faxesProvide accurate documentation of contacts, reports are due each week for review in sales meetings.Keep accurate notes/knowledge of current working jobsUtilize resources:Bid News
