INSIDE SALES

Description and Job Purpose:  To generate revenue by obtaining and up-selling orders.

 

Duties:

?  Obtains orders by answering telephone calls, verifying and entering items; following orders through completion, explaining stock-outs, and expected delivery dates.

 

?  Collect Customer and Sales tax information on new accounts to expedite new orders.

?  Maintain communications between customers and outside sales force. 

 

?  Update job knowledge by studying new product descriptions; participating in educational opportunities. 

 

?  Effectively do inside selling and accomplish sales and organization mission to increase sales.

 

?  Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information, trends, and identifying sales opportunities.

 

?  Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport; providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotations. 

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

 

Job knowledge, thoroughness, quality focus, telephone sales, motivation for sales, Prospecting skills, Marketing Concepts, Teamwork, Verbal Communication, Product knowledge, persuasion, computer knowledge, and detail oriented.

 

Experience in Electrical Control Sales a plus.
