Blair-Martin Co., Inc. is a well-established and respected Southern California Manufacturer's Representative and Distributor of Instrumentation and Process Controls;  in business since 1954.  We sell and service engineered process instrumentation products that measure and control flow, pressure, level, etc. to multifaceted businesses.

 

Basin Valve Company (a wholly owned subsidiary of Blair-Martin Co., Inc.) is a well-established Valve Repair and Service Company with operations in Bakersfield, Las Vegas, and Signal Hill (Long Beach);  in business since the mid-1960's.  We sell Process Valve Repair & Service (including sales of new 'after-market' valves).

 

WE NEED EXPERIENCED INSIDE TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVES.  We seek a LOCAL residents with knowledge in the Fluid Power Industry, particularly with Process Instrumentation.

 

The successful candidates will have excellent customer service, phone, and communication skills.  They must be professional, hard working, and possess a good understanding of inside sales/customer service operations.  They will perform all order processing functions from quote stage through order completion.

DUTIES:

 

Receive and process quote and order requests from customers, field sales personnel and other sources via phone, fax, and email.

 

Respond to customer inquiries pertaining to quotes, orders, expedites, follow-up, etc.

 

Liaison between customers, factory principals, service and field sales personnel, and management.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

High School graduate"+" with strength in match and sciences.

 

3 to 5 years related work experience.

 

Proficient in computerized order processing systems, Word, Excel, etc.

 

Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, phone, verbal, written) in dealing with customers, co-workers, factory principals, and management.

 

Must be a flexible team player, with high energy and sincere sense of customer care.

 

Self-motivated; able to work independently and as a team member.

 

Capable of analyzing problems and making decisions.

 

Neat, clean, detail oriented and quality conscious.

 

Subject to initial and random drug testing.
