Founded in 1979, Medical Resources, Inc., through its wholly owned subsidiaries, owns and manages fixed-site outpatient diagnostic imaging centers in the United States, with 55 imaging centers in nine states. The company's diagnostic imaging centers provide a wide range of imaging services in a comfortable, service-oriented environment.

Through a strategy of geographic concentration, Medical Resources has developed a strong regional presence in the Northeast, Midwest, and Florida. The Company operates its centers pursuant to independent contractor agreements with leading radiologists in each of these regions.

 

Job Description:

The individual in this position is responsible for calling on referring physicians, managed entities, self-insured employers, and any other potential referral sources within a designated territory.  This position is responsible for servicing and growing existing accounts and establishing new accounts.  Also responsible for quality service by working with Regional Sales Manager, Area Business Manager, other ISRs and center staff.

 

Job Requirements:Bachelor's Degree required.Minimum of one year sales experience.  Experience with healthcare and physician sales preferred (pharmaceutical sales a plus).  Demonstrated ability to make multiple sales calls daily and perform in high-pressure situtations.  Previous experience working under a salary plus compensation program.Excellent oral and written comunication skills. Solid interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to relate well with a wide variety of customers and with co-workers.  Self-discipline with good organization skills.  Demonstrated ability to schedule appointments, conduct, follow-up and track activities/results.  Knowledge of basic physiology, anatomy, and radiology modalities (industry equipment and technology).Must have valid driver's license.  Must be able to pass required credit investigation.  Primary residence within primary or secondary territory preferred.  Must be willing to travel and work occasionally evenings and weekends.Travel is required to sales meeitngs, customer sites, and on occasion to the corporate headquarters.

 

Essential Functions:

 Operate within established monthly travel and expense budget (T&E).Service and expand current sales accounts.Identify new account opportunities, call on new accounts and close new business.Perform in accordance with goals defined in the Monthly and Quarterly Sales Compensation Plan.Maintain physician profiles, up-to-date information regarding each account.  (i.e. - hours of operation, names of key personnel, practice areas, etc.)Maintain competitive profiles, update information regarding the capabilities and pricing of competitors in the territory.Complete and submit weekly call reports, monthly summary reports, and special reports/projects as assigned by management.Work cooperatively with the RSM, ABM, Center staff and other key personnel to assure delivery of quality service.Convey information and service requests to the Center supervisor with responsibility for the function in question.Communicate concerns about Center policies, procedures, service or personnel directly to the RSM, ABM, and Center Manager.Responsible for complying with the Company's Code of Conduct and abiding by all laws governing our industry.Support the patient privacy and confidentiality policies and regulations under HIPAA as it relates to patients and their medical records.
