Industry Software Sales Rep: Insurance Industry (Greater NYC/NJ 'Tri-State' area)

IBM Software is aggressively building a team of senior sales people who possess a unique combination of Insurance Industry knowledge and a consultative, yet results-oriented sales approach. The ISSR is a consultative sales person who understands the unique business challenges of a particular industry (in this case the Insurance Industry) and is able to recommend software solutions to solve those challenges. He/she works directly with customer decision makers, sponsors and key influencers from the Line of Business, Information Technology and/or Operations. The typical ISSR has worked in or has been a consultant to the relevant industry and has a deep understanding of the business & operational issues that companies in that industry face. A knowledge of IBM's software product sets or Competitive products would be a Big plus. We are looking for candidates with all or some of the following skills and/or experience: Strong Insurance Industry experience, Sales or Consultative Skills, Account Management, Closing Skills, Relationship Building & Executive Presentations, Excellent teaming & communication skills, Knowledge of the Software Industry and the Ability to direct & work with the extended IBM Team. This SW Sales Rep. must reside in the Greater NYC/NJ (Tri-State) area. The successful candidate will be mobile and will work remotely with minimal travel (up to 20%) required. Our Sales people are measured on sales results so compensation includes both base pay & commission and is commensurate with experience. We are actively searching for an Industry Software Sales Rep. who will be selling & supporting IBM's software efforts to the Insurance Industry. Successful candidates will have at least one of the following backgrounds & experiences: 7+ years of Software sales experience into the Insurance Industry (prefer large enterprise software products like Infrastructure, ERP, Applications, etc.), 5+ years of experience inside the Insurance Industry along with 3+ years of Technology sales experience or 7+ years of experience as a Consultant to the Insurance Industry.
