Information Management (Database/Data Management) SW Sales Specialist (Any Tri-State Location)
The job responsibility includes direct customer sales of the IBM Data Management / Database SW products. IBM's Information Management Portfolio includes IBMs Core Database products, Content Management, Information Integration and applications such as WebSphere Customer Center, WebSphere Product Center & Business Intelligence. The ideal candidate will have experience selling Data Management or Database products & solutions into fortune 500 companies. This candidate must have an INDEPTH understanding of the Data Management & Database Software portfolio (DB2) and/or competitive offerings from companies like Sybase, Oracle, Microsoft, Informatica, Business Objects, Hyperion, etc. This Sales Specialist will be responsible for selling Data Management/Database Software Solutions in an Aligned territory. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to build & sell total solutions, must be self starters and must know how to team with various internal & external teams to win business. This Sales Specialist should reside in the NYC/NJ (Tri-State) area. The successful candidate will be mobile and will work remotely with minimal travel required (up to 25%). Our Sales people are measured on sales results so compensation includes both base pay & commission and is commensurate with experience.
