INSIDE SALES and Wholesale Technical Counter Person

 

Long Island Location. Farmingdale, NY

 

We are a 25 year old and growing company under new leadership looking for a technical person to run our wholesale trade counter operation and expand our inside sales base. You will be advising and helping flooring professionals by providing the latest in technical specifications and new products as well as providing them with their day to day requirements.

You will be responsible for proper inventory control and proper sales controls including receivable, credit cards, and cash.

You will not be selling directly to the general public.

Position requires outstanding oral and written communication skills and organizational skills. You should be mechanically inclined and comfortable helping people with technical issuesand products.

This position can lead directly to a much expanded role within this growing company for someone interested in either inside or outside sales. The current person is being promoted to another position, responsible for inside sales, within our company.

The ideal candidate will have a college background or equivalent trade experience in the flooring trade. Experience in other trade related counter /inside sales organizations would also be a big plus.

The candidate must be bondable and  will be required to take a drug test prior to employment within our DRUG FREE company.

Hours are 6:00am to 4:30pm plus 7:00am to 12:00 noon on Saturday.

This is a very important position within our company and the selected person will have a very fast track within our company for other growth opportunities, especially within the sales organization.

We will provide training for the individual selected in regards to the product lines and the technical aspects of the job. The candidate will bring the education, the drive to succeed, the work ethic, and the personality that the customers will relate to.
