Inside Sales Representative - Birmingham, AL

Job Purpose
Polymershapes is the nation's leading distributor and fabricator of plastic sheet, rod, film, tube and engineered products with annual sales over $500 million and approximately 900 employees in 80 locations across the US, Canada and Latin America.

Essential Functions

Place outbound phone calls to high-opportunity new and existing accounts identifying decision-maker(s) and opportunities within these accounts.

* Field inbound calls generated from targeted marketing programs to develop new opportunities.

* Understand the plastics distribution industry and articulate the business value of Polymershapes products to customers.

* Track all customer contacts, leads, and opportunities in the lead and target tracking system.

* Enter sales and purchase orders into the order management system.

* Daily phone/email/fax communication with existing customers

* Communicate effectively with warehouse and outside sales personnel

* Accurate and timely entry of sales orders including quantity/pricing/shipping confirmation

* Professional handling of customer issues and complaints

* Track product returns and credit information


Qualifications/Requirements:
Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree in business discipline or High School diploma/GED with 5+ yrs of business related experience in sales environment

* Strong personal accountability and track record of delivering on sales targets

* Demonstrated ability working in an ambiguous environment and seamlessly handling multiple tasks simultaneously.

* Demonstrated computer experience, web literacy, and familiarity with normal office automated equipment.

* Demonstrated ability developing rapport at all levels of an organization.

* Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.
