Inside Sales Representative-Medicare Health Plan

Primary Function:

Responsible for placing outbound calls and answering incoming calls in regard to HealthSpring Medicare + Choice plans. The objective for all calls is to gather information, determine the level of interest of the prospect and take him/her to the next step in the sales process. During all phone calls, this position enters the relevant information into the computerized database system. Functions also include scheduling qualified appointments for the Field Representatives, scheduling prospects to the community meetings, following up on leads in the database, mailing sales material and closing sales.

 

Responsibilities:

?  Place outbound and responds to inbound calls to generate qualified appointments.

?  Consistently meet and exceed quotas for the number of calls per day, scheduled appointments and sales.

?  Coordinate sales calendar with the Field Representatives to avoid duplicate appointments. 

?  Meet or exceed appointments to leads ratios. 

?  Mail requested sales material to prospects.

?  Maintain database on all prospects. 

?  Document in the database system the results of all leads and calls.

?  Ensure that all members are transferred to Member Service, as necessary.

?  Maintain a working knowledge of the HealthSpring plans, marketing and advertising scheduling and leads management system.

?  Participate in events and activities as necessary.

?  Maintain and submit a daily activity report.

?  Attend all required staff meetings and training sessions.

?  Other duties may be assigned.

?  Maintain a valid Tennessee Health Insurance license,

?  Maintain a valid driver?s license and reliable transportation.

?  Ability to enter data on the computer accurately and quickly while on the telephone.

?  Developed written, oral and one-on-one presentation communication skills.

 

Experience:

?  HS diploma or equivalent required. 

?  Two plus (2+) years telephone sales experience or service experience. 

?  Experience with Windows-based applications and computerized lead management system.
