Inside Sales Team Leader

Commercial Business Group



Direct all activities of the assigned Vendor Markets Inside Sales Team in order to achieve the businesses new business volume and profitability targets. Inside Sales Team Leader will accomplish the sales and growth objectives established by Management by providing oversight and direction to the Inside Sales Team covering new program ramp up, existing program penetration and focus on developing ongoing sales and origination efficiencies.


Provide oversight and training to team members to assure sales skills, customer service levels, market and product knowledge are meeting the business minimum criteria.


Develop tools to manage Inside Sales team and monitor to assure the team is meeting and/or exceeding their job requirements and goals.


Manage Inside Sales Team of 5+ sales team members and direct their day-to-day activities.


Coordinate new program development strategy with the Sales Managers, Program Managers and Regional Managers. Organize the sales origination execution strategy in conjunction with the Account Services and Credit managers.


Direct the hiring, resource development, and training and sales performance management within the Inside Sales team.


Develop and maintain good working relationships with the functional support areas of CitiCapital (including Operations, Delinquency Management, Risk, AMG and Legal).


Provide monthly reporting to Sales Management through documentation of calling efforts, sales pipeline (proposal to booking) and updates and activities and team results.


Drive and manage flow of small-ticket leases under $250,000 to assure options provided meet the customers needs. Includes structuring and pricing transactions within business guidelines.


Transact and structure leases from $250,000 by working jointly with vendor sales representative and their customer to determine the optimum financing solution to help vendor close their product sale.


Provide support to assigned Vendor Markets Regional Managers and Direct Finance District Managers to respond requests, structure transactions and provide proposals to customers.


Work with internal teams (Account Services, Credit, and Asset Management) to assure transactions are responded to within business guidelines and customers expectations.


Provide monthly reporting of sales and application activity to customers, Regional Managers, District Managers and Sales Manager.


Other duties as assigned.



Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience (7 – 10 years). Candidate will have a minimum of 2 - 3 years experience in managing a sales team and developing vendor-based finance relationships in the equipment leasing industry with strong preference to those with experience in healthcare vendor leasing programs

Strong Management/Leadership skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral). Strategically oriented, innovative thinker with solid decision-making skills.

Past success in working efficiently and effectively across functional entities to structure and implement new relationships, orchestrating internal resources.

Articulate - possessing excellent listening, verbal and written communication and presentation skills

Demonstrated ability to utilize financial calculator, T-Value, or Microsoft Excel to structure lease transactions that may qualify as capital, operating or tax leases

Solid understanding of credit underwriting principles, lease documentation, pricing and vendor processing requirements.
