Institutional Regional RPS Officer
Job Description: GENERAL FUNCTION: The incumbent in this position is a local, Retirement Plan affiliate based Sales Officer with 100% focus on sales. Sells and supports the sales process of investment management and 401(k) plans. The incumbent will work closely with the Institutional Relationship Managers (RMs) and Commercial Relationship Managers (RMs) to provide creative solutions to sales opportunities. The Regional RPS Sales Officer is an expert in various institutional products including Retirement Advantage, Retire.53Direct and Investment Management products including LAM, Equity and Fixed Income Asset Management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with Institutional Relationship Managers to initiate contacts for developing and closing new sales through referrals and self-generated leads, concentrating on assigned markets and client profile. Focus is on largest and/or most complex sales opportunities.
Expand external sources of referrals by organizing and participating in meetings and briefings to promote investment management and defined contribution plans.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None. However, is expected to assist in the orientation, training and development of the sales force.
