As a Designer at Norwalk, you will assist customers in creating beautiful rooms through the selection, purchase and placement of custom furnishings. Visiting your client?s homes for ?housecalls? will help you and your clients create complete custom looks and help them realize the rooms and homes of their dreams.



At Norwalk - The Furniture Idea, we offer full service interior design including custom upholstery and furniture, custom home-theater and home-office, custom window treatments and bedding and unique art and accessories. Our upscale, fun and exciting retail environment is a far cry from traditional furniture stores and has earned us the loyal following of clients who appreciate a unique, enjoyable, shopping experience.



As an employee of Norwalk - The Furniture Idea, you will enjoy flexible schedules and extensive training in sales, product knowledge and interior design. Norwalk Furniture, our parent company, is the largest manufacturer of custom upholstered furniture in the United States, and has been manufacturing furniture for over 103 years.



As a growing company, we are always interested in and have opportunities for talented people. Experience in interior design, or other fashion related experience is highly desirable but not a necessity. A degree in Interior Design, Fine Art, or Fashion is beneficial but not required. Retail sales or other sales experience is definitely helpful but not absolutely necessary. A commitment to on-going personal and professional development including a strong desire to learn is a must.
