Junior Inside Sales Representative (entry-level)
Digicon Corporation, established in 1985, is a full-service Telecommunication and Information Technology Integrator and Provider servicing Network Engineering and Software Development to both government and commercial customers. Headquartered in Herndon, Virginia, Digicon also provides a fully secure Data Center, Network Operations Center, and Help Desk/Trouble Ticket Resolution division from within this facility. Digicon employs approximately 300 employees throughout the Washington metropolitan area, as well as several other major cities across the nation.
As our Sales team continues to grow we are looking to add a junior level Inside Sales Representative to our Advanced Technologies Sales group here in Herndon, VA. The main responsibilities of this position will include:
? Qualifying leads and following up on leads generated from prospective customers lists.
? Initiating calls/cold calling to potential clients using a prepared selling script.
? Promoting and selling technology and telecommunications products and services.
? Maintaining records of activity and transactions and entering data into reports.
? Quoting prices and preparing documentation for orders obtained.
Approximately 70% of the time will be spent cold calling customers while 30% of the time will include sale support and market research under the supervision of the Sales Director.
We are searching for a hard working, proactive, and enthusiastic individual with sales ambition and a willingness to learn. While 1-2 years of inside sales experience is a plus, we are accepting entry level candidates looking to get their foot in the door. You should be highly organized, professional, and eager to obtain success in the sales industry.
All candidates should have a basic understanding of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the IT or computer related industries as well as a basic understanding of sales concepts.
Compensation will be in the range of $25,000 to $30,000 base salary with a full compensation package including commission of up to $50,000 per year.
