Key Account Rep-San Francisco, CA Area

We are looking for an experienced sales representative in the San Francisco, CA area with a passion for sales to maintain and grow the business of our key accounts through field sales visits and outbound sales calls, while developing smaller and medium sized accounts into larger key accounts. Sell new and existing products, provide quotes and technical information, and act as a liaison between customers and the company. Successful candidates must be self motivated to produce results. Responsiblities Include:

 

?  Travel to key accounts to make presentations, conduct vendor shows, and present proposals to purchasing. Work closely with our key vendors at customer sites to show and demonstrate equipment and supplies. Develop account profiles and action plans to drive business at each key account.

?  Make outbound sales calls to customers (purchasing and end users) in an effort to grow the sales.

?  Review an analyze sales reports for opportunities to expand our existing sales and gain new pieces of business and act accordingly.

?  Work in cooperation with Marketing initiatives to grow our internal mailing list and email list, as well as selling specific types of products.

?  Attend product and sales training programs throughout the year.

?  Advise bid department on pricing appropriate for accounts in territory and to get the company on more bid lists to generate additional bidding opportunities.

 

Work Experience:

 

?  College degree is required.

?  Minimum 2-5 years of sales experience.

?  Sales training is a plus.

?  Laboratory experience preferred but not required.

 

Technical Skills/Training:

 

?  Computer literacy is required.

?  Basic math skills and the ability to compute gross margins and sales discounts is necessary.

?  Word, Excel, Internet, Lotus Notes, Outlook, and possibly Access.
