Library Sales Associate - 3 Positions

Oxford University Press is one of the leading educational publishers in the United States and the largest Academic Press in the world. We have an excellent opportunity available for a Library Sales Associate based in Cary, North Carolina.

 

This individual will maximize Library Sales by working with established customers and developing new accounts. This is an inside sales position, but will require some travel to attend library conferences, conduct demonstrations, and participate in direct customer sales calls.

 

Responsibilities/Duties: Meet or exceed sales targets, both for specific initiatives and annual territory goals; achieve maximum sales within an assigned territory, in partnership with Library Account Reps. Expand relationships with existing customers to increase sales to established accounts. Establish and cultivate relationships with new customers in assigned market segments to create new sales opportunities. Work in partnership with existing Account Reps to support their activities and to provide excellent customer service to our library customers. Establish customer trials of existing and new online products, and perform timely follow up. Help to grow and maintain the ISIS electronic database of customer contacts. Increase incremental sales in partnership with existing Account Reps. Represent Oxford University Press at library conferences, demonstrating product and conducting direct customer sales calls. Participate fully in sales initiatives outlined in the sales calendar, including active participation in the training and recap sessions. Process miscellaneous orders received in the Library Sales Department. Assist in sales reporting, sales analysis, and administrative functions as assigned by sales management. Continually update product knowledge and improve selling skills

 

Qualifications: 
 

Bachelor's degree and or equivalent sales experience is required. 1-3 years of inside or outside sales experience required, preferably selling reference and/or online products. Ideal candidate will have knowledge of the library marketplace. Candidate must have excellent communication and presentation skills. The successful candidate will be highly organized; detail oriented, and possesses a keen interest in providing excellent customer service. A light amount of travel is required.

 

Relocation to Cary, North Carolina is required. Relocation expenses are not provided.
