As Local Account Manager, Residential New Construction, you'll be responsible for driving profitable sales growth of American Standard brands through key decision makers and sales links in the new construction segment of the residential market in the South Florida region (Miami / Ft. Lauderdale area).
Position Responsibilities:
-Proactively discover customer?s perceived and unperceived needs and implement appropriate value-driven solutions resulting in a loyal business relationship
-Develop effective personal relationships with a broad base of key high level executives and decision makers within the selected account?s organizations
-Identify and quantify market opportunities, prioritized relative to other potential opportunities
-Work with cross-functional sales teams to ensure all customers are served appropriately
-Work within team structure to cross-sell customers in multiple channels
-Develop key relationships within the new construction segment within the Strategic Account Managers assigned region or territory
-Understand the needs of target customers and work with internal teams to translate those needs into technical product requirements
-Manage a process to measure total revenues, customer satisfaction, and financial benefits, penetration, and other factors to evaluate our overall performance and profitability at each selected account; Use these measurements in the validation portion of the customer development process
-Facilitate internal communication flow of strategic objectives and measured results to wholesale sales team leaders and sales team members
-Develop and document necessary information regarding selected accounts industry position, competitive position as well as their requirements
-Maintain expense budgets in an accurate, economical and timely manner
Key Competencies and Success Factors:
-Excellent consultative selling, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are required
-High-level written and verbal communication skills are required
-Must have strong financial competency with ability to analyze and develop recommendations using financial terms and measurements
-High level of personal initiative coupled with good planning, organizational, and delegation skills
-Proven ability to deal with customer partners up to C-level to form mutually beneficial alliances
Bachelor?s degree is required with a minimum 2 years of sales experience, preferably in the Residential new construction market
Experience in development and execution of marketing plans and programs and in dealing with large, multi-territorial, complex accounts is required
Strong computer skills are required; proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Microsoft Outlook a must
Experience with data warehouse sales reporting systems (i.e. Cognos, SAP BW) will be considered a plus
Strong presentation skills are required, with ability to create and facilitate presentations at executive level required
Minimum of 40-50% travel is required
