MANAGER OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Requirements

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company currently has an opening for a Manager Finance-Business Developement located at the corporate headquarters located in Akron, OH.

Goodyear is North America's largest tire company, manufacturing and marketing tires for most applications. It also manufactures and markets several lines of power transmission belts, hose and other rubber products for the transportation industry and various industrial and consumer markets. Goodyear is one of the world's largest operators of commercial truck service and tire retreading centers. In addition, it operates about 1,800 tire and auto service center outlets. Goodyear manufactures its products in more than 100 facilities in 29 countries, producing more than 200 million tires annually. It has marketing operations in almost every country around the world. Goodyear's 2005 net sales totaled nearly $20 billion.

The primary purpose of the position will be to manage several steps within the acquisition, divestiture, or joint venture process in accordance with Goodyear's strategic growth plan. The steps include data gathering, due diligence and transition planning.

Responsibilities and expected deliverables include:
Accurate and timely financial information on the entities to be acquired, divested, or joint ventured.
Valuation recommendations on transactions for executive management.
Due diligence reports on a project basis.
Properly collaborate with all the departments involved in acquisitions/divestitures, such as: Tax, Treasury and Corporate Accounting.
Prepare and lead the necessary transition plan.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or economics.
Minimum (5) year experience in Operation/ Finance Division with knowledge of US and International accounting, tax and treasury.
Proficiency/Advanced computer skills in Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
Strong negotiation skills
Experience working in multifunctional teams
Strong communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
MBA Finance/Accounting
