MORTGAGE CONS-EMERG MKTS

Job Description: Home Mortgage Consultants are responsible for soliciting residential mortgages from various sources including realtors, builders, financial professionals, past customers and other non-traditional sources. Opportunities are available in the areas of prime, sub-prime, reverse, builder, and private mortgage banking nationwide.

Duties may include:
?Develops knowledge of company products, policies and procedures, underwriting requirements, and conventional and government loan requirements
?Produces high quality loans which meet Wells Fargo Home Mortgage guidelines while providing excellent customer service
?Develop relationships with real estate professionals, builders and other business referral sources
?Understand real estate appraisals, title reports and real estate transactions
?Informs, prospective and existing customers of WFHM?s programs, rates, policies, underwriting requirements, and loan procedures
?Analyzes detailed financial and credit data, matching customer needs with an appropriate loan program and level of risk
?Receives customer applications, quotes the rate and points, and completes follow-up activities with the registration lock-in
?Develops and maintains a high degree of visibility for WFHM in the marketplace
?Perform miscellaneous duties as needed and required


Minimum Qualifications: ?BA Business degree or related experience
?2+ years sales and mortgage experience
?Ability to thoroughly comprehend underwriting guidelines, as well as programs, policies and procedures
?Ability to effectively communicate these to others
?Excellent written and oral communications skills
?Demonstrated leadership, team building skills and a successful track record
