MORTGAGE CONSULTANT SUBPRIME

Job Description: Responsible for originating residential mortgages in sub-prime market through internal and external referral sources along with traditional transactional methods. Maximize internal referral relationships within distributed retail and bank branches. Establish and develop external referral relationships through traditional and non-traditional channels such as realtors, builders, attorneys, financial professionals, and collection agencies. Produce high quality loans which meet WFHM standards and fit within guidelines while insuring production meet WFHM required levels. Provide excellent customer service throughout entire loan process from application through funding and beyond.


Minimum Qualifications: ? Minimum of 2 years experience in the sub-prime mortgage industry with a proven sales record
backed up by documented proof of past years sales achievements.
? Ability to quickly comprehend underwriting guidelines, programs, policies and procedures.
? Demonstrated leadership, team building skills, and a successful track record.
? Minimum education required is a high school degree.
? Ability to communicate loan terms, features and benefits to consumers and business partners.
? Ability to meet minimum production requirements of 3-5 loans per month.
? Ability to meet strict deadlines while working independently in an entrepreneurial environment.
? Strong verbal and written communication skills.
? Proven sales and negotiating skills.
? PC skills including Outlook, Excel and Word; understands or uses database marketing.

Preferred Skills: ? Two years sales experience including a proven and verifiable record of developing relationships
with real estate agents, builders, collection agencies, and other business referral sources.
? Good understanding of real estate appraisals, title reports, and real estate transactions.
? Proven track record of $6-12M per year in sales.
