We are looking for highly skilled, driven, and service oriented individuals to join our high profile Asset Owner and Consultant (AOC) team in San Francisco.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

Based in San Francisco, the Asset Owners and Consultants (AOC) Sales Associate will be the Relationship Manager responsible for representing the entire array of MSCI Barra indices, risk models and software to the marketplace. Responsibilities fall within three key areas: (i) building relationships with asset owners, consultants and managers, effectively communicating MSCI Barra?s capabilities, methodologies and competitive advantages in order to win benchmark and risk management/monitoring system mandates; (ii) enhancing existing relationships through continuous dialogue and feedback, bringing in product managers research team members, and senior management where appropriate; (iii) participating in the evaluation of potential new business opportunities and strategic alliances.

While closing revenue based deals will be a part of the Sales Associates responsibility, acquiring documented acceptance of our products with this client base is the key driver of success in this role. Success will be measured in net assets acquired/retained under MSCI Barra benchmarks and the adoption of Barra risk models /software as part of the risk monitoring and reporting functions of AOC clients.

? Total Relationship Management involving:
? High Level Management Contact
? Strategic Planning with an Account
? New product placement
? Answer detailed client inquiries about MSCI Barra products and methodologies
? Inform all clients about MSCI Barra?s products, announcements, projects, etc.
? Work with other departments (client service, legal, contracts, billing, etc) to ensure that all clients requests / inquiries are managed appropriately
? Coordinate and complete RFPs
? Maintain accurate records regarding account visits, client conversations, finalized contracts, etc.
? Proactively solicit client feedback regarding new initiatives and future product development
? Provide feedback from clients to Marketing, Sales, Research and Product Development groups



Skills Required
QUALIFICATIONS:

Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of business experience. Of that, at least 1-3 years dealing directly with North American asset owners and their consultants is preferred.

? Experience in the investment management decision-making process, either from the investment management, pension fund or consultant perspective.
? Record of achievement with product placement within the asset owner and asset manager industry.
? Ability to recognize early shifts in the marketplace and position MSCI Barra to capitalize on those opportunities.
? Superior communication and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects
? Strong sales closing skills
? Strong analytic and quantitative skills
? Strong understanding of the global equity and fixed income markets
? A self starter and highly motivated; ability to work individually and within a team
? Thorough understanding of the Investment Management Process
? Bachelor?s Degree Required plus MBA, Masters Degree and./ or CFA charter holder
? Extensive travel. 50%-75% of time is out of the office
