Manager, Clinical Affairs

Responsibilities:
Responsible for all clinical affairs for the Sleep and Home Respiratory Group including managing, overseeing and developing all clinical research.
Function as a key company resource in the clinical application, coaching, and mentoring, and delivery of clinical programs to targeted audiences.
Organize, design, budget, manage, and assure publication or useable output for clinical studies supporting the Marketing claims or efforts for the Sleep and Home Respiratory group.
Work closely with the Medical Education Manager to develop and coordinate programs to meet the needs of the customers, and will be responsible for promoting new business/market/education opportunities for clinical education at trade shows, speaking engagements and hospital visits.
Maintain a network of key opinion leaders in the Sleep and Home Respiratory field.
Maintain an intimate knowledge of the state-of-the-art science and clinical translation of basic science in Sleep and Home Respiratory medicine and physiology.
Maintain an intimate knowledge of current state-of-the-art methodologies for performance of human and animal clinical trials in Sleep and Respiratory medicine and physiology.
Understand the goals and tactical objectives of the Marketing team, and provide a strategic and tactical plan to support those goals and objectives with proper clinical proof source tools and clinical guidance.
Provide internal consultancy on issues related to Sleep and Respiratory clinical questions (either personally, or via the Key Opinion Leader network).
Manage the clinical research associates to maximize the throughput of the clinical group, maintaining exceptional quality in research and data reporting, in accordance with Respironics Quality Procedures associated with such data.
Offer novel opportunities to product management, as such opportunities become apparent (typically from personal insight or from clinical or research contact).

Requirements:
Masters in Life Sciences, or equivalent required. Ph.D. in related field, preferred. Professional medical accreditation (RRT, RPFT, RN, etc.) in clinical fields preferred.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in some combination of clinical practice in the medical device industry. Senior clinical experience preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills; outstanding leadership skills and ability to build teams.
Have the ability to exercise business judgment, act decisively, and generate enthusiasm.
Demonstrated ability to influence clinical, development and business associates.
This position requires travel (est. 25%), the ability to do public presentations, and work within clinical environments.
