Manager -National Retail and Emerging Channels
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Works under the direction of the Director of Reseller and Emerging Channels, the incumbent functions as an ambassador and business development lead field liaison and advocate to add, grow and develop the national retail and emerging channels. This position is responsible for business development and account management within the National Retail and Emerging Channels. This individual will work to deliver the necessary standards, tools, and processes within the respective channels needed for success. Standard processes would include marketing processes, sales, tools, training, systems, compensation and enablers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Collaborate with the National Retail and Emerging Sales Channels field management and chart the channels? strategies to ensure they are in line with business objectives.
2. Work closely with the National Retail and Emerging Channels management to craft and deliver plans and programs.
3. Establish communications between Corporate Executives, General Managers, Indirect Sales Managers, and the Director of Reseller and Emerging Channels to ensure strong advocacy to channels and assist with identifying the appropriate offerings and support mechanisms that need to be developed to win business and ensure success of channel.
4. Assist with developing, growing and expanding the Emerging Channel and National Retail partners and revenue generated by these partners. Assist with leveraging channel partners across properties and negotiating national agreements.
5. Work with the Marketing Department to develop merchandising and point of purchase programs for channel partners.
6. Manage projects with regions and regional markets by conducting needs analysis, leading proposals and project teams.
7. Implement and maintain new and existing programs and work with field team to implement, execute, and measure strategies.
8. Assist with developing standard tools and resources such as processes, on-the-job and back office support training, operations training, pre-sale support, channel conflict resolution, marketing support logistics and the escalation of issues where appropriate.
9. Maintain communication with Information Services and the National Retail and Emerging Channels to ensure that system interfaces to support channels are in place.
10. Attend personnel meetings for discussion of new projects, competition, promotions and other duties as requested by upper management.
11. Analyze channel success using metrics. This includes profit and loss, productivity, gross and net sales, churn, ARPU and data adoption.
12. Meets and exceeds team member expectations by providing service and department teamwork;
? Provides value added service to customers by doing whatever reasonable and possible to meet or exceed customer expectations;
? Demonstrates teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-workers as needed;
? Communicates effectively with customers, co-workers and management;
? Performs other duties as required to provide excellent service and teamwork
13. Adheres to policies and procedures;
? Attends work on time as scheduled;
? Required to call in to report an absence no less than two hours prior to the start of the shift by contacting the supervisor directly and stating reason for absence;
? Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures.
14. Performs other duties clerical, proofreading, special Business projects from time to time
15. Maintain confidentiality of all customer and company information.
Knowledge of cooperative and market development programs, merchandising and support needs for channel expansion. Knowledge of Cellular industry and ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients, and other employees in the Company, along with the capacity to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Understanding of business operations and finance. Ability to exercise independent judgment. Ability to operate a motor vehicle. Must have valid DL and a responsible driving record. Bachelor?s degree preferred. 3-5 years channel development/indirect sales experience preferred. Working knowledge of conducting business with entrepreneurs and National retail management. Strong Indirect and National Retail Experience preferred. Preferably experience in the cellular and wireless telecommunications. Basic computer knowledge.
