Market Development Manager

Kitty Hawk has an exciting opportunity for a sales-driven, highly motivated, self-starter.  The position of Market Development Manager includes:  increasing revenue and market share while developing ongoing relationships with new and existing customers including freight forwarders and other accounts.

  ? Utilize market data and develop sales strategies to increase customer base

? Maintain a thorough knowledge of the products

? Travel throughout assigned territory to meet with regular and prospective customers; providing prices, credit terms and preparing sales contracts for orders obtained;

? Provide activity reports and sales plans for the assigned territory

? Actively participating in aggressive sales and skills training.

College level education, must have three to five years of sales experience.  Knowledge of transportation industry logistics and freight forwarding. Ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships.  Must have a thorough knowledge of successful sales techniques.  Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.  Must be detailed oriented.  Must have a valid driver's license.  Ability to travel weekends, holidays and days off to assigned territory as needed.  Excellent communication skills are necessary.
