Market Manager

Holcim (US) Inc., one of the nation?s largest manufacturers and distributors of cement and mineral components, has an immediate opening for a self-starting, results-oriented experienced Market Manager at its office in Minneapolis, MN. This individual is responsible for:

 

? Strategic planning, forecasting, pricing and budgeting skills

? Ability to develop, implement and adopt a District sales/marketing plan based analysis of sales district and market conditions

? Developing and implementing product and market positioning strategies incorporating pricing, manufacturing capabilities, specific competitors and promotional considerations

? Product presentations and developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers

? Technical knowledge of cement and concrete to support customer field requirements

? Working closely and taking leadership positions with industry trade organizations to promote Holcim (US) and its products and services

? Building relationships with governmental entities (City, County, State, Federal) responsible for cement/concrete construction activities

? Traveling as required to cover territory

 

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor?s degree in marketing or engineering. A minimum of 5 years experience and knowledge with masonry cements and package sales are required. Experience with solutions-based sales in industrial settings is preferred. Cement and concrete technical knowledge, uses of admixtures (chemical and mineral) and good understanding of markets in the construction industry is desired. Good computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) are required, while SAP knowledge/experience is preferred. Candidate must be able to interpret, organize, and present data effectively.
