Market Manager II

Responsible for Category Management activities in Distribution Marketing for the acute care market. Specific category assignment includes Patient Care category (Personal Hygiene, Kits, Pressure Monitoring, Patient Apparel, etc.) Responsible for developing and executing category strategies in support of category management.

Other responsibilities include:
Develop a business plan and strategy by category that focuses on market trends, competition, profitability and focus areas for the company

Participate in and lead cross-functional teams to improve category profitability and implementation of new processes for the sales force and vendor community

Meet with vendors across multiple product lines to learn about new products and work with Vendor Management to improve profitability

Make recommendations for promotional programs, focus categories and other marketing initiatives based on category strategic plans

Review new products and attend trade shows to keep up with the trends in new technology and clinical developments

Continuously analyze and review category performance. Manage reporting process by product line to track results.

Work with regional sales management to promote and present new programs and category updates

Assist in the development and maintenance of marketing collateral materials and on-line content and advertisements for customers and the sales force

Create processes for improvements within the current category review structure

Undergraduate degree preferably in Business/Marketing. Masters preferred.
Previous healthcare experience preferred

5+ years of marketing and/or related experience. Previous category management experience is a plus.

Strong analytical, communication and project management skills

Ability to work in teams across multiple departments and functions
Strong Excel, PowerPoint, Word skills
