REPORTS TO: Sales & Marketing Manager - Polyolefins
SCOPE: North America
100,000 tons plus growing in excess of 25% annually
$17.5 million plus in sales growing in excess of 25% annually
BASIC FUNCTION: Profitably sell or pull through available production of polyolefin-market products, and develop new businesses and applications within the polyolefin industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist group in selling and pulling through sufficient volume of calcium carbonate to meet or exceed yearly sales quota.Manage customer interface in assigned polyolefin accounts. Develop and strengthen personal relationships with assigned customers, co-suppliers to the industry, and potential customers. Provide for needed technical service and commercial support for assigned customers. Provide, through written reports and analysis, an ongoing history of each assigned account or potential account. Provide market information. Develop tactical plans to further the use of calcium carbonate in the North American olefin market. Visit assigned customers, co-suppliers to the industry, and potential customers routinely, such that strong relationships are formed. Manage all aspects of assigned account interface.Maintain records such that continuity is maintained with assigned customers.Provide information to division and company management such that company may provide adequate products and information for the future. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor?s degree in Marketing or Business, and a minimum of eight years? experience in the polyolefins industry, with proven sales, marketing and technical leadership. Other requirements are broad polyethylene experience in HDPE, LLDPE and LDPE resins and markets. Strong communication, customer relationship, problem-solving, and decision-making and software skills are essential.
