Medicare Sales Representative - Brooklyn/Queens

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

College graduate with a minimum of 1 year of applicable direct health care insurance sales experience and a proven track record.? Other relevant experience may be considered.? Additional direct sales experience may be considered in lieu of the above noted educational attainment.? A valid driver?s license is required; NY State Health Insurance License preferred. During the first few months at HIP incumbent will be required to get health insurance license.

ABILITIES:

1.Sales skills.

2.Communicate clearly and effectively.

3.Strong interpersonal skills displaying the exercise of good judgment and tact and the ability to properly inform prospective subscribers of HIP Medicare product(s).

4.Work independently; be a self-starter.

5.Travel.

6.Oral and written communication in a second language (Spanish) is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

1.?? Close sales on HIP Medicare product(s).

2.?? Establish and maintain productive, informative and pro active relationships with appropriate individuals and groups.

3.???Establish and maintain leads.

4.???? Contact Medicare eligible individuals (current and prospective), including by telephone, in writing and in person.

5.???Make individual and group presentations.

6.???? Provide appropriate assistance to prospects; for example, by assistance in the membership application process.

7.???Maintain records and reports.

8.???? Develop and maintain appropriate understanding of the health care products related to sales responsibility.

9.???Perform various related duties as assigned.
