Recently voted the 3rd best large company to work for in the Pittsburgh Business Times, we are seeking a Medication Safety Consultant to cover the Wisconsin and Iowa territory. The successful candidate can live anywhere within the territory.Position Description

Grow the organization within the hospital market through the procurement of new ROBOT-Rx clients in the assigned territory. Represent PakPlus, AcuDose-Rx, SupplyScan and other new technologies to potential ROBOT-Rx clients. Performance measured by ability to attain annual sales quota.

Responsible for engaging in a complex, consultative 6-18 month sales negotiation process to evaluate pharmacy technology at hospitals and to place Robot-Rx into hospital Pharmacy Departments. Coordinate with internal McKesson Automation (MAI) Pharmacist Consultants and hospital Pharmacy Director to evaluate current pharmacy operations versus operations with MAI?s advanced technology Benefit Realization Study (BRS). Work with Pharmacy Director to develop clinical programs that operate in tandem with stated BRS results gained from MAI?s technology. Meet with all potential hospital influencers on project to strategically evaluate issues, objections and fulfillment of department goals. Communicate exclusively with hospital executives (CEO, CFO, COO, CIO) within health system to gain BRS acceptance and accomplish sales goals. Obtain hospital board approval and negotiate contract issues with the institution?s legal department. Coordinate with other internal departments and McKesson business units to optimize co-selling opportunities. Maintain fiscal responsibility for all Company-related business expenses.Minimum Requirements

Five plus years related sales experience in healthcare industry, preferably in a hospital setting.Additional Knowledge & Skills

Demonstrated prior capital equipment sales success with hospital, medical or pharmaceutical products. Excellent negotiation, interpersonal and communications skills a must. PC skills with strong Word, Excel, and Internet. Willingness to travel 60% of work schedule.Education
