You will work with the Director of Merchandising to develop and implement strategy to become the top service representative to retail centers in this territory. The Merchandising Sales Representative will serve existing accounts; obtain orders; keep management informed of any issues with the customer; monitor competition; recommend changes in products, service, and policy; resolve customer complaints; maintain professional and technical knowledge; provide historical records; contribute to team effort.

Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers in territory. Successfully manages customer expectations.

Strong ability to explain features, benefits, and technical aspects of the full product line. Demonstrates good working knowledge of the competitive market.

Closes the sale by addressing customer concerns, demonstrating empathy, and consistently moving the customer towards commitment.

Has the ability to achieve and/or exceed goals and expectations.

Makes articulate, effective presentations to a customers.

Ability to negotiates or mediates discussions competently, making concessions while accomplishing goals and protecting interests.

Develops new account prospects through networking, referrals, and cold calling.

Has some experience managing accounts and targeting prospects within a designated region.

Is confident in a variety of settings.

BA/BS or equivalent experience.
