Mgr-Indirect Sales
Description:
Performance Management: Meet and exceed defined sales and retention objectives through ongoing training, coaching, and monitoring of individual and team performance. Assess individual and team performance, and initiate developmental plans designed to narrow competency gaps.
Operations Management: Monitor agent/retailer sales results and key performance indicators. Analyze data with Indirect Sales team, and lead the development of specific action plans designed to address opportunities and/or shortfalls. Assign sales modules to reps, and allocate quota. Work with team on merchandising / marketing strategy for different agent / retailer locations.
Customer Retention: Maintain and grow existing customer base and manage churn. Attend sales calls with Indirect Sales team, and build relationships with key personnel within the agent/retailer locations. Handle all agent/retailer customer escalation issues that cannot be resolved at the Indirect Distribution Representative or Account Manager level, and ensure that all outstanding issues are resolved.
Channel Growth: Drive Indirect Sales team to prospect and qualify new agent/retailer locations. Manage negotiations of new/existing contracts.
Staffing / Employee Relations: Manage various personnel related projects within the Indirect Sales team, such as employee performance plans and appraisals, sales recognition programs, and more. Analyze staffing needs of team. Provide hiring, promotion, and disciplinary action recommendations.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of sales, marketing, training, and/or customer service experience required.
1-3 years of management experience preferred.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
Evenings and weekends as required.
PC proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, presentation & communication skills are required.
Prior successful sales track record, proven leadership ability, and knowledge of wireless industry desired.
Effective negotiation and closing skills.
The ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-changing environment that requires a high degree of multi-tasking with minimal supervision.
Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
This position requires extensive travel throughout the assigned region.
A valid driver's license, good driving record, and proof of insurance is required.
