Mission Integration Manager, Civil Space

An exciting career opportunity is available for a Senior Mission Integration Manager reporting to the East Coast Director of Mission Integration, Civil Space Business Development. This position will lead the West Coast Civil Space Mission Integration activities and be responsible for leading business development efforts in developing and maintaining relationships with customers and the science user communities, identifying/creating new business opportunities within the Environmental Sensing, Space Science and Exploration markets, promoting NGST capabilities and program benefits, associated marketing functions, and leveraging/protecting funding on existing programs. Other duties include working closely with current and advanced programs, other NG sectors involved in civil space programs, developing and managing customer/user interfaces.



Successful candidate will possess a minimum of 10 years experience and a thorough knowledge of business development in the government/civil space industry. The individual must have recent experience and knowledge of the government organizations, plus scientific user communities, involved in the Civil Space area including NASA, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and/or John Hopkins/Applied Physics Laboratory. Candidate should be familiar with government space policies and trends. Candidate should have demonstrated leadership, presentation, influencing, and listening skills. Candidate must possess a bachelor?s degree preferably in Engineering or Physics and a Master?s in Business Administration is a plus. End-to-end systems architecture level knowledge, plus understanding of operational concepts, highly desirable. Moderate travel required. This position is posted as a grade 13, however actual grade level will be decided based on the skills and experience the selected candidate brings to the job.
