Mortgage Loan Officer II

Sells and originates residential mortgage loans to a level II sales goal. Identifies and meets with prospects, explains various mortgage products available, determines best alternatives together with prospects and finalizes sales. Guides applicants through the loan application process, submits required information to processing area and coordinates communications between customers, underwriters, processors, closing agents and others to ensure a smooth loan closing. Maintains sales ability, negotiation skills and knowledge of mortgage and other Company products and services; maintains growing network of referral sources for new business. Ensures that own work, as well as work of any employees supervised, is in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines, as detailed in policies located on Company intranet; policies include but are not limited to Fair Lending, Know Your Customer, Bank Secrecy Act and other applicable anti-money-laundering policies.

Requirements:

4 year college degree or equivalent combination of coursework and experience. 1 - 2 years mortgage lending experience required. Demonstrated sales ability. More in-depth knowledge of mortgage industry, products, lending practices and regulatory guidelines. Growing network of outside contacts to generate referral flow. Self-directed, with ability to plan own activities to achieve sales goals. Good time management skills. PC skills, including knowledge of mortgage origination and automated underwriting systems.
