The Mortgage Wholesale Account Manager is responsible for the generation of quality loans through solicitation from the mortgage broker network. Account Managers maintain daily contact with wholesale lending customers to provide: counsel regarding bank products, sales presentations, rate/fee quoting, respond to technical questions, and act as a liason with underwriting and funding. In addition, Account Managers provide management with market data, and cross sell other bank products and services.



1-3+ years experience in sales and marketing of wholesale mortgage lending products to the Mortgage Broker community REQUIRED.

1-3+ years experience in originating wholesale mortgage loans in a Conforming/Prime Lending environment.

Thorough knowledge of mortgage wholesale lending programs, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Proven successful track record of production in a Wholesale Lending capacity selling conforming/Prime lending programs.

Ability to bring over established Wholesale Broker relationships.

Solid working knowledge of FHA/VA, LMI/ Affordable lending programs, guidelines and knowledge of associated broker community currently originating these programs in specified area above.

Able to give presentations, conduct meetings, and educate Broker community on long term value in specific product lines at Washington Mutual.

Proven track record of performance with personal purchase volume production in above specified area.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a remote Loan Fulfillment Center for all underwriting and processing of files.

Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

Sales ability and relationship building skills essential. This position will service the Modesto/Stockton territory.
