National Account Sales Manager

Russell Corporation is known throughout the world for all of their quality products including Spalding Basketballs, Russell Athletic Uniforms, AAI Gymnastics Equipment, Mossy Oak Outdoors Apparel, and Desoto Socks.  Russell Corporation is a billion dollar publicly traded company with more that 10,000 employees throughout the world.  Presently, Russell is looking for a National Account Sales Manager in their Bentonville office to support the sock division.

 

National Account Sales Manager

 

The National Account Manager, Mass Retail will lead the growth in existing Sock accounts in the Sam?s Club and Wal Mart client.  Will support the implementation of corporate goals and strategies and provide critical input to align Russell with current and future sales objectives. 

 

 

Specific Job Responsibilities:

? Lead the Sock business in Bentonville in building the sales pipeline to achieve and exceed goals.

? Recommend sales strategies for business growth in Sock categories based on market research and competitor analyses.

? Establish and maintain positive customer relationships, at buyer and senior levels.

? Partner with senior management to continuously fine-tune Russell's retail sales/ marketing strategy for Socks in pursuit of target growth and goals.

? Develop/support and implement branding strategies, marketing plans, pricing, sales strategies, advertising, promotion programs, product literature and PR.

? Experience creating a strategic plan and setting overall direction to ensure business growth and profitability.

? Comfort level implementing changes to structure, staffing and process as needed to ensure group goals can be met and long-term growth can be achieved

? Drive business performances to ensure strategic goals are delivered.

? Experience implementing planning and decision making processes that ensure the business can identify problems in advance and make corrections at the right time.

? Demonstrated ability to make and be accountable for painful decisions when there are no painless options available; is able to have "tough" conversations as needed.

? Anticipates and adapts based on changing market conditions.

? Provides solutions to problems as opposed to simply reporting disappointing data or metrics; seeks new ways to remedy challenges and obstacles rather than reworking old ways when no longer effective.

? History of optimizing results and strengths in people by sharing information, power and involving them in planning and problem solving.

? Consistently sets the business direction through words and personal example.

? Builder of strong partnerships and teams by promoting cooperative goals and fostering collaboration, not competition; eliminates communication barriers.

? Demonstrates excellent verbal, nonverbal, written skills to present information so that the intended purpose is achieved and is appropriate for the intended audience.

 

Specific Job Requirements

 

? BA/BS Degree; MBA preferred

? Greater than 4 years mass retail sales experience in consumer goods, preferably apparel dealing with national retail accounts.

? Prefer Socks experience

? Track record of success in developing and implementing sales strategies.

? Experienced in implementing annual business development and sales plan in support of organizational strategy and objectives.

? Solid experience in selling directly to national mass retail and wholesale club accounts.
